Awkwafina
Awkwafina was initially a American performer and rapper, making sly songs that addressed issues such as racial and sexual identity with a comedic twist. Before expanding to Hollywood the singer could perform a variety of tracks. Nora Lum, born in Forest Hills Queens to Chinese and Korean immigrants was her very first music experience. She was a trumpet player. Her classical, jazz and hip-hop training began as she was a teenager. When she was in college, she focused on her studies, and then majored both in women's study as well as journalism. In a short period of time, in Beijing, Mandarin language classes were also available. It wasn't until she began focusing on music until after she completed her degree. After gaining viral fame on the Internet and her own song My Vag was a reaction to the song of Mickey Avalon's My Dick. It eventually appeared on the album she released, Yellow Ranger. The album featured other hit songs that went viral, such as the body-positive Queef and the winking tour of her hometown NYC BitcheUSD. The third track was linked to Awkwafina's NYC Travel Guide that was published in 2015, which was an additional initiative. With musician and author as her credentials, she began looking for acting in a third project. In addition to early television shows like Girl Code and Tawk, she has also been featured in movies like Neighbors2Storks, and Bad Rap. Her breakthrough came in the year 2018 when she appeared in a number of movies that were highly regarded, such as Dude Ocean's 8 and Crazy Rich Asians. The EP was released in June.
