Robyn Rihanna who is also known as Rihanna is an Barbadian pop singer and songwriter. Her hits include including Pon de Replay, SOS umbrella, Take a Bow. Rihanna is an extremely well-known performer who has sold over 41 million albums around the world as well as more than 150 million tracks. Her birthplace was in Barbados and had a childhood filled with reggae. After she learned to sing, she became a professional singer. As a result of the chaos that surrounded her family as well as the disputes her parents had with each other, she decided to take up music. Then she realized that she was going to pursue a career as a singer. The group she formed was a musical one when she was still in high school and was able to have an audition with music producer Evan Rodgers who was highly impressed with the talent of the young girl. He asked the girl to make the move to New York in order to make a career of it as a singer which she readily accepted. The debut album of Rihanna quickly became a hit and was described as an international sensation. She was a favorite amongst the youth for her peppy and foot-tapping songs. This led to Rihanna taking up directing. Talented and young, Rihanna is now regarded as both a teen-idol and fashion icon. Rihanna also puts her fame for good and is active in a variety of charities.
